how to be a cowgirl
To be a cowgirl you have really got to want to be one! Being a cowgirl isn’t just a phase that you pop in and out of. Most cowgirls have been riding since they were little and these are the true cowgirls. All the same, it is never too late to start!(I love horses XD am I a cowgirl too?)
1.Go to a Western store. Here are the things to get:
- Buy some Wranglers, or just plain blue jeans, but Wranglers work best.(wranglers.? ok.)
- You are going to need at least one cute rodeo belt. (make sure its cute or your not a cowgirl.)
- Buy a couple western shirts - cute ones of course, but don’t show too much cleavage or other cowgirls will get jealous and not like you.(haha isnt that scene of them?)
- You will need at least one pair of cowgirl boots. (duh.)
- If you want, you should get a cowboy hat(ahem..cowgirl hat…). You don’t need three unless you’re running for rodeo queen!(cowgirls have queens too?) So pick the best one that suits you.
1. Check out the local rodeos.(kinda like shows for scene kids.) Find out when your local barrel race is.(local shows for scene kids) Go to these races and other roping events. When you go, you will see that every one talks to each other and fits right in.
2. Make sure you know the difference between a quarter horse and an Arabian.(guess Im not a cowgirl :[ ) It is vital as a cowgirl to know the basic breeds and colors or you will look as if you are faking it.(POSER!)
3.Don’t boast and lie and make things up. This will only make you look corny. It will not endear you to the cowgirl sisterhood……”cowgirl sisterhood… :D lmao”
4. Listen to country and rock music.(whoa cowgirls have lots of rules too. this is crazy!!!) That is the favorite music of cowgirls.
5.Try and get your own horse. Even if you just take lessons if you cannot get a horse, that’s fine too. Don’t be afraid of horses - come on, you are trying to be a cowgirl remember? Nothing beats good training of the rider, so get lessons and horses know a good rider from a poor one; let the lessons help you to gain confidence with horses.(like makeup for scene kids horses give cowgirls confidence? I think I am finally getting the hang of this. Ill be myself in no time.. :D) If you can’t get a horse or get riding lessons, you’ll look corny.(ohhh no you better get a horse or you cant be a cowgirl.)
